John Parrott was �40,000 richer after capturing the
Thailand Classic title. The 31-year old former world champion has now won 10 overseas tournaments
- five of them world ranking events. The crucial moment came in frame five when Parrott fired in a
break of 115 to lead 5-4 and he went on to win the next three frames to set up victory. Bond
fought back by taking the next two frames, but Parrott won in frame 15. He said: "I'm really
chuffed to have won. I had a very tough draw with
John Higgins and
Stephen Hendry in my half."
