Ding is the first player from Asia to reach the final of the World Championship.

There was a total of 10 centuries in the match, which is a new record. Ding made seven of them which is a new record for a single player at the Crucible. It ties Stephen Hendry for most tons in any match.

Ding missed the 15th black for a 147 in frame 20.
